Synacor Launches ‘TV Everywhere’ Campaign

Internet technology company Synacor Oct. 5 launched a TV Everywhere for Everyone campaign, with the goal of helping independent TV operators in small rural and mid-sized markets deploy TV Everywhere to customers who don’t have it.

Synacor is predicting that 100% of rural subscribers could have access to TV Everywhere services by the 2012 London Summer Olympics.

“It simply makes sense that small-town America should be a priority, along with major metropolitan areas, when it comes to TV Everywhere,” said Synacor president and CEO Ron Frankel. “The name TV Everywhere says it all — Synacor would like to work with independent operators to extend everywhere to everyone.”

Synacor estimates there are 900-plus small- to medium-sized pay-TV operators that don’t have the resources for TV Everywhere services.
