Transactional VOD and video streaming service adds music and natural sounds

FlixFling is looking to buttress movies and TV show streaming with music and natural sounds.

Philadelphia-based FlixFling ($7.99 monthly), which also operates a transactional VOD service, March 28 announced a deal with NatureVision TV to include its ($2.99) portfolio of video programs featuring natural sounds of nature and soothing music.

NatureVision TV — based in Sarasota, Fla. — joins FlixFling’s genre channel line-up, which includes “Cinefest ($4.99),” “CinePride,” “Warriors and Gangsters,” “Dox ($2.99),” “Monsters and Nightmares.”

“The imagery [NatureVision TV] feature is some of the best natural cinematography out there and it sets a mood when you put it on your screen,” Thomas Ashley, CEO of FlixFling, said in a statement.

FlixFling earlier this month inked a deal with Music Choice, offering its $7.99 video subscribers access to 100 streaming music and video channels, including 20,000 music videos.

Before that, the service signed a five-year agreement with Vubiquity, which is headed by former longtime Warner Bros. Home Entertainment executive Darcy Antonellis, to provide it with cloud-based access to movies and television shows.
