Projections: 'Red Tails' Looks For Soaring Sales
28 May, 2012 By: John Latchem
The week ending May 27 will be dominated by three titles that all performed about the same at the domestic box office. With a Memorial Day tie-in and a strong urban appeal, Lucasfilm’s Red Tails, distributed by Fox, should top the sales charts after taking $49.9 million at the domestic box office.
Fox’s This Means War ($54.6 million) and Sony Pictures’ The Woman in Black ($54.3 million) also should perform well.
With the Fox titles subjected to a kiosk embargo, Woman in Black should top the rental chart.
