17 Jan, 2014 By: Erik Gruenwedel

EzyFlix.tv, the Australian online movie store, is making early digital access available to Lionsgate’s action-thriller Empire State, starring Liam Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson and Emma Roberts.

The movie, which was released in retail channels in the United States in September, costs $24.99 Australian dollars ($21.97 U.S.) in standard-definition; $29.99 ($26.37) for HD. Empire State is also available for rent at $5.99 ($5.17).

The movie represents one of the first Hollywood titles available ahead of packaged media in Australia.

EzyFlix, which is owned by Élan Media Partners, accommodates UltraViolet and Disney Digital Copy redemption codes. Élan Media Partners also operates online packaged media fulfillment services, in addition to myriad websites, including WowHD.com in the U.S.
