Entertainment testing and certification company BluFocus is launching a new focus group division, with the intent of giving companies more feedback regarding user interface, usability, user experience and ease of use.
BluFocusGroup services will be available for software, website and mobile app developers and content owners, with specific focuses on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, audio and video content for both 2D and 3D, digital distribution and entertainment hardware.
“Products and applications are becoming more complicated internally and simplistic externally,” said Paulette Pantoja, BluFocus founder and CEO. “For years, BluFocus has successfully provided services to ensure proper functionality so products and technologies work correctly and as expected, and now by request, we will also focus on ensuring that they are simple to use, understandable, intuitive and, most importantly, deliver an engaging user experience.”
The division is set up to offer subjective guidance during application and technology concept and development phases, instead of on completed products, the company said.
