'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' Tops Disc Sales for Third Week

The top three titles were unchanged from a week earlier on the NPD VideoScan First Alert Sales Chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc chart the week ended Sept. 9, led by Disney's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 topping the charts for a third consecutive week.
The Marvel Studios blockbuster was followed on both charts, as it was the prior week, by Disney's The Lion King: Signature Collection at No. 2 and Paramount's Baywatch at No. 3.
The top newcomer, Universal's Megan Leavey, debuted at No. 4. The drama, which earned $13.4 million at the domestic box office, stars Kate Mara as a Marine who adopts her combat dog partner after they are injured in the line of duty.
No. 5 on the overall chart was another newcomer, Lionsgate's All Eyez on Me, a biopic about rapper Tupac Shakur that earned $44.9 million at the domestic box office. All Eyez was the No. 10 Blu-ray for the week.
On the Blu-ray Disc chart, No. 5 was Fox's Alien: Covenant, which was No. 6 overall.
Sony Pictures' comedy Rough Night debuted at No. 7 overall and No. 6 on the Blu-ray chart.
On Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week ended Sept. 10, Baywatch was No. 1 for the second consecutive week, followed by Rough Night at No. 2.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 dropped a slot to No. 3, with All Eyez on Me on Me debuting at No. 4 and the Lionsgate actioner First Kill debuting at No. 5.
