‘Argo’ Arrives on Disc Feb. 19

Based on the real-life story of six Americans who escaped the hostage crisis in Iran in 1979, Argo is slated for release on home video Feb. 19, 2013, from Warner Home Video.

The drama focuses on how creative intervention on part of the CIA and Hollywood led to the Americans’ safe return.

Argo stars Ben Affleck, who also directs, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin and John Goodman. Producers include Affleck, Grant Heslov and George Clooney.

A Blu-ray combo pack is listed at $35.99, while a DVD is available for $28.98. Both versions have UltraViolet functionality.

The DVD includes the featurette “Rescued from Tehran: We Were There.” Bonus material for the Blu-ray also includes commentary with Affleck, “Feature Length Picture in Picture: Eye Witness Account,” and the featurettes “Argo: Absolute Authenticity,” “Argo: The CIA & Hollywood Connection” and “Escape From Iran: The Hollywood Option.”
