AT&T Offers Online Entertainment

By : Jordan Harrison | Posted: 10 Sep 2009

Following in the footsteps of Hulu and YouTube, the new AT&T Entertainment Web site is offering thousands of streaming movies and TV shows.

AT&T Entertainment has several outside content providers, including ABC and NBC (also in agreement with Hulu), and is available to anyone with a broadband connection, even if they don’t subscribe to an AT&T service.

“We know our customers want to be able to access their favorite content anytime, anywhere,” said Dan York, EVP of content and programming for AT&T.

York indicated the goal of AT&T is to provide a site for viewers to access all their favorite programming, eliminating the need to watch elsewhere.

Fans will be able to watch thousands of TV shows after their initial airdate, with shows from ABC, Bravo, CBS News, CBS Entertainment, Oxygen, NBC, SyFy, The CW, USA Network and more available for viewing.
