Director Steven Spielberg’s critically acclaimed historical drama Lincoln will arrive on Blu-ray Disc and DVD March 26 from DreamWorks Pictures and 20th Century Fox, with distribution by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
The film, which recounts President Abraham Lincoln’s struggle to pass the 13th Amendment to outlaw slavery in the United States at the end of the Civil War, won two Oscars — Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis as Lincoln and Best Production Design.
Lincoln also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and James Spader.
The four-disc Blu-ray combo pack super set ($45.99) includes the film on both Blu-ray and DVD, as well as a digital copy and a bonus Blu-ray of extras, including featurettes “The Journey to Lincoln,” about the 12-year quest to make the film; “A Historic Tapestry: Richmond, Virginia,” about filming in the city; “In the Company of Character,” about Day-Lewis’ performance; “Crafting the Past,” about re-creating the historic setting; “Living With Lincoln,” about the making of the film; and “In Lincoln’s Footsteps,” about the editing, sound design, John Williams’ Oscar-nominated musical score and the legacy of Lincoln.
The two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($39.99) includes “The Journey to Lincoln” and “A Historic Tapestry: Richmond, Virginia,” while the DVD ($29.99) includes just “The Journey to Lincoln.”
