Netflix Unveils New Streaming Menu

Netflix Nov. 13 launched a new streaming menu giving subscribers improved video images, information and details regarding content choices.

Calling it the “biggest change” to watching Netflix on the television in the subscription video-on-demand pioneer’s history, chief product officer Neil Hunt said the new uniformly improves the viewing experience regardless if the broadband connection is through a set top box, smart TV and Blu-ray Disc player, laptop, or video game console.

"Our members collectively watch more than a billion hours of Netflix a month, most of that is on a TV," Hunt said. "This new software platform will allow us to innovate even faster and continuously improve the Internet television experience for our members across multiple devices.”

The update will be available to all Netflix subscribers globally within two weeks.
