James Finn Upped at Fox

Veteran communications executive James Finn has been promoted to EVP of marketing communications at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Finn, who has been with the studio for 13 years, expands his responsibilities to include global oversight of corporate communications, digital marketing, media, publicity and marketing partnerships for the division.

He reports to Mary Daily, president and chief marketing officer of worldwide marketing, in Los Angeles.

“James’ expanded role reflects the natural evolution of consumer communications across every platform through media, publicity, social engagement and partnerships,” Daily said in a statement. “He has proven himself to be a dynamic and innovative executive and his passion for consumer engagement and keen understanding of the ever-evolving media landscape makes him an integral part of the senior management team.”
Since 2009, Finn has managed communications for all title releases and latest technology advancements, including DigitalHD, Blu-ray, 3D in the home and video-on-demand. He has overseen the implementation of more than 200 campaigns a year, and has been involved with some of Fox’s most successful home entertainment franchises, including Avatar, Alvin and the Chipmunks, James Bond, “Family Guy,” “Glee,” Ice Age, “Modern Family,” Planet of the Apes, Rio, “Sons of Anarchy,” Star Wars, “The Simpsons” and X-Men.

Prior to joining the home entertainment division, Finn was based in New York at Fox Searchlight Pictures, where he held the position of VP of national publicity.
