Kaleidescape Inks Distribution Deal With Sony
11 Sep, 2014 By: Erik GruenwedelUpscale movie server company Kaleidescape Sept. 11 announced it entered into a license agreement with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for its movie player, Cinema One.
Kaleidescape said its online store features new recommendation software, as well as a link enabling users to access digital versions (for a fee) of their DVD and Blu-ray Disc collections stored in the cloud. The Kaleidescape Store serves all Kaleidescape Systems in the United States and Canada.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s catalog includes franchises such as "The Amazing Spider-Man," "Men in Black," "The Smurfs" and "Jump Street," as well as classics Lawrence of Arabia, Taxi Driver and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, among others.
The new studio deal brings the total number of titles licensed for the Kaleidescape Store to more than 8,400 movies and 1,000 TV seasons.
