Upscale movie server company Kaleidescape has named custom electronics industry veteran Buzz Goddard as its new VP of sales.
Before joining Kaleidescape, Goddard was VP of sales at custom networked audio, video and control systems company NetStreams. He has 25 years of experience in the custom electronic design and installation business.
“Buzz Goddard understands high-end consumer electronics brands as well as technology products that have high value-add services and support, such as Kaleidescape’s movie servers,” said Cheena Srinivasan, founder and CEO of Kaleidescape. “Buzz’s passion for both products and the custom electronics industry makes him well suited to lead our sales efforts.”
Goddard has also held sales executive leadership roles at Kloss Video and Lexicon. At Kloss Video, he introduced large-screen, two-piece projection TV systems into the residential market, and at Lexicon, he was responsible for launching digital surround processing, Dolby Digital, THX and DTS audio processors.
“We live in a world full of devices, many of which do the same thing, and every manufacturer has nearly an identical feature set in their offerings,” Goddard said. “What I find refreshing about Kaleidescape is that the company has focused on defining, creating and leading a new category with products and services that have remained fresh and entertaining for more than a decade. Kaleidescape’s products and its new store are unique, and the timing is very fortuitous for the custom channel.”
