Upscale movie server company Kaleidescape was featured as part of a custom Ford Skyliner Transit van, recently featured at the New York International Auto Show.
The van was equipped with a Kaleidescape movie system allowing riders to watch Blu-ray Disc-quality films, downloaded from the Kaleidescape Store or imported from disc.
The van also included a Crestron control system, accessible via three iPads docked throughout the vehicle, offering access to the Kaleidescape system, lighting, security, power seating and more.
The van is also equipped with a 53-inch Firehawk screen and a Wolf Projectors SDC6 3D 1080p projector with outboard scaler, as well as a 7.1 surround sound speaker system.
“The new Ford Transit Skyliner custom van shows that luxury transportation can be outfitted with the same level of luxury and convenience found in the highest-end homes,” said Crestron marketing director Tom Barnett. “From the complete home theater to the motorized, near-silent window treatments, many luxury residences would envy the technology in this van.”
