Roku May 30 announced online TV service DirecTV Now is available on many of its streaming media devices.
AT&T launched DirecTV Now last November in the burgeoning online TV space, offering access to 60 channels for $35 monthly with no contract. Upgrades to 80, 100 and 120-channel packages cost $50, $60 and $70, respectively.
A one-month free trial of the service is offered to Roku customers who don’t already have a DirecTV Now account.
“Getting consumers to the content they want the most has always been our focus,” Steve Shannon, GM of content and services at Roku, said in a statement.
