Brian Jaquet, the first director of communications with Roku Inc., has left the media player manufacturer.
Chuck Seiber, VP of marketing with Roku, has assumed his position.
In an email, Jaquet said he left Saratoga, Calif.-based Roku to assume a similar position with , a cloud-based on-demand video game platform.
“I really enjoyed my time at Roku and I think the company will continue to have success as it battles for space inside the living room, but it was time for a change and OnLive presents a great challenge and opportunity as well,” Jaquet said.
Jaquet was part of Roku’s mercurial growth to more than 1 million units sold following the 2008 launch of a Netflix-branded streaming media player. The company now markets three players also available at Best Buy and Amazon.
Notably, Jaquet was successful at communicating rapidly evolving technology trends with both the hardcore and layman press.
