Blockbuster Express is promising to consumers who reserve new release The Mechanic from CBS Films/Sony Pictures Home Entertainment online (www.blockbusterexpress.com) that they will receive the title on the May 17 street date, or they will receive $1 for leaving empty handed.

The action film, which generated $51 million in global box office and stars Jason Statham and Ben Foster, is available for $2.99 for the first night and $1 per night thereafter.

Blockbuster Express, which is owned and operated by NCR Corp. under a license agreement with Blockbuster Inc., encompasses about 9,000 kiosks nationwide.
