Cinedigm Launches Dove Now Pre-Programmed Streaming Service

1 Nov, 2016 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Cinedigm Nov. 1 began streaming Dove Now, a new pre-programmed streaming video service aimed at complementing Dove Channel, the $4.99 subscription-streaming service offering family-friendly movies and TV shows approved by The Dove Foundation.

Dove Now features kids programming blocks scheduled in the morning and early afternoon, and blocks containing more adult fare from fringe to primetime. Dove Now is currently subscription-based, but an ad-supported version is pending.

“We wanted to provide our subscribers with a fresh, family-friendly take on the traditional TV experience … while simultaneously enhancing their ability to discover more content on the service,” said Erick Opeka, EVP digital networks at Cinedigm.

Cinedigm also announced that Dove Channel and CONtv, the $4.99 SVOD service catering to Comic-Con enthusiasts, would be available on Chinese LeEco smart phones and TVs. The company is one of the largest online video companies in China.
