Projections: 'Kung Fu Panda 3' Expected to Debut on Top

DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda 3 is looking to kick its way to the top of the home video charts the week ending July 3.

The latest "Panda" earned $143.5 million at the domestic box office — lower than the first two films but still respectible.

A Panda win would displace Disney's Zootopia, which has held the top spot for three weeks. Zootopia would likely end up at No. 2.

The newcomer with the best chance of No. 3 is probably Paramount's Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, a comedy about the Afghanistan war starring Tina Fey.

On the rental chart, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is likely to debut in the top spot.
