Projections: 'Game of Thrones' Looks to Knock Down 'Peanuts'
21 Mar, 2016 By: John Latchem
HBO's Game of Thrones: The Complete Fifth Season stands a good chance of taking over the disc sales charts the week ending March 20. The migration to over-the-top video has diminished the impact TV shows on disc have had on the charts in recent years, but mega popular shows such as "Game of Thrones" are the exception, with "Thrones" having topped the chart a year earlier with its fourth season.
"Game of Thrones" is also the title with the best chance of knocking Fox's The Peanuts Movie out of the top spot in its second week.
Among the newcomers that should compete for a high chart spot are Fox's Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Universal's Sisters and Paramount's The Big Short.
On the rental chart, Big Short should debut in the top spot.
