Projections: 'Baby Driver' Upshifting Into Home Video
16 Oct, 2017 By: John Latchem
Sony Pictures' Baby Driver will hope to chase down the top spot on the home video charts the week ending Oct. 14.
The film was written and directed by Edgar Wright and is the highest-grossing of his career thus far, with $107.8 million earned at the domestic box office. Baby Driver would be the latest in a string of high-profile films arriving on disc and debuting at No. 1, with the previous arrivals spening a week in the top spot before moving down the list when the next comes along (as Baby Driver would likely give way in a week to Spider-Man: Homecoming).
Baby Driver is also in line to debut atop the rental chart for the week ending Oct. 15, while Universal's The Mummy will come off its month-long holdback from Redbox kiosks to claim a high spot as well.
