Paramount's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues should be able to ride a huge marketing push to the top spot of the home entertainment charts for the week ending April 6. The comedy sequel grossed $127.4 million in U.S. theaters and arrives with a Blu-ray packed with three versions of the film and some sizeable retail promotions to support it.
Disney's Frozen should continues its impressive home video run, while another Disney animated movie, the direct-to-video The Pirate Fairy, the latest in the "Tinker Bell" series, should debut high on the charts.
The rental chart will likely be topped by Anchorman 2, followed by holdovers The Wolf of Wall Street, from Paramount, and Warner's Gravity. Oscar winner 12 Years a Slave, from Fox, comes off its 28-day Redbox holdback and should also land high atop the rental chart.
