Fox Promotes 'Anarchy' With Bikini Bike Wash

24 Aug, 2014 By: Chris Tribbey

MARINA DEL REY, Calif. — Bikinis, bikes and burgers. That’s how you do a “Sons of Anarchy” promotion.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment invited a couple hundred motorcycle owners to this Los Angeles-area beach community Aug. 23 for a free bike wash (by “SOA” bikini girls), free food and “SOA” giveaways, all to help promote the season six DVD and Blu-ray Disc release of the show Aug. 26.

"We know the biker community embraces  the show and we wanted to celebrate the season six Blu-ray and DVD by making sure they had a clean, final ride," a Fox spokesman said.

The event was held at Bartels’ Harley-Davidson, which has had a licensing deal with Fox to distribute “SOA” merchandise since 2012. For the season five disc release of “SOA” Fox partnered with the motorcycle retailer to give away one of 100 limited edition “SOA” motorcycles it created.

“They’ve been an awesome partner for the franchise,” the Fox rep said.

Bonus features for season six release of “SOA” features deleted scenes, commentary for the first and 13th episodes, several featurettes and a gag reel.

The seventh season of “SOA” premieres on FX Sept. 9.
