20th Century Fox Home Entertainment Oct. 10 (10/10/10) will screen the movie I Am in 2,500 churches worldwide in advance of the direct-to-video’s Nov. 2 street date.
Set in Los Angeles, I Am is a modern telling of the Ten Commandments depicting the fictional lives of 10 strangers whose lives intersect through a biblical plot.
Co-produced by John Ward and former Major League Baseball player Todd Zeile, the film is intended to provoke discussions about the meaning of life, according to Ward.
“I Am represents filmmaking as a movement with the intention of engaging the audience and igniting discussion which explores our values and purpose as human beings,” Ward said in a statement.
Endorsed by The Dove Foundation, the Christian film will also be available early in religious book stores Oct. 12.
