Fox Gives Churches ‘I Am’ Screening

7 Oct, 2010 By: Erik Gruenwedel

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment Oct. 10 (10/10/10) will screen the movie I Am in 2,500 churches worldwide in advance of the direct-to-video’s Nov. 2 street date.

Set in Los Angeles, I Am is a modern telling of the Ten Commandments depicting the fictional lives of 10 strangers whose lives intersect through a biblical plot.

Co-produced by John Ward and former Major League Baseball player Todd Zeile, the film is intended to provoke discussions about the meaning of life, according to Ward.

I Am represents filmmaking as a movement with the intention of engaging the audience and igniting discussion which explores our values and purpose as human beings,” Ward said in a statement.

Endorsed by The Dove Foundation, the Christian film will also be available early in religious book stores Oct. 12.
