Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has set Iron Man 3 for a home video release in September.

Three weeks later, Sept. 24 (order date Aug. 13), sees the film released as a 3D super set ($49.99) that includes the film on 3D Blu-ray, 2D Blu-ray and DVD, and includes a digital copy and music sampler. The film, in which Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, grossed about $404 million in U.S. theaters and more than $1.2 billion worldwide.

Extras on the Blu-ray versions and through select digital retailers include a featurette deconstructing the attack on Air Force One scene; an exclusive behind-the-scenes preview of the next Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Thor: The Dark World, hitting theaters in November; a “Marvel’s Iron Man 3 Unmasked” featurette; a gag reel; deleted and extended scenes; commentary with writer Drew Pearce and director Shane Black; and more. The DVD will contain a limited number of bonus features.
