Toshiba Slates Web-Enabled Blu-ray Players

Toshiba June 2 unveiled two new Blu-ray players – the BDX2500 and BDX2700 – with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities that allow direct access to streaming content.
The players will include access to Blockbuster On Demand, Netflix and Vudu. Both models also connect to the music service Pandora.
“With the BDX2500 and BDX2700, we are providing consumers an extreme entertainment experience by offering the ability to stream music and video from a multitude of choices,” said Jodi Sally, VP of Marketing for Toshiba’s Digital A/V Group.
