Popcornflix Available on Apple TV

Ad-supported streaming video service Popcornflix Feb. 18 announced that its app in now available on Apple TV. Popcornflix is also available on Roku, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Sony Playstation, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV and all leading Smart TVs.

For its Apple TV app, Popcornflix is using proprietary ad-insertion technology, which it plans to license to third parties seeking ad-serving solutions in the video-on-demand market.

“I’m proud of the team here at Popcornflix for their innovation and allowing us to implement our ad-serving technology into our Apple TV app,” David Fannon, EVP at Popcornflix, said in a statement.

Popcornflix offers its viewers more than 4,000 movies and TV shows, from critically-acclaimed films such as Monster, The Virgin Suicides, Paranormal Activity and The Descent, as well as acclaimed foreign films, documentary programming from National Geographic, and children’s hits Rugrats Go Wild and Inspector Gadget.
