CBS Bows New 'Star Trek' Series Trailer

CBS May 17 unveiled the for the pending “Star Trek: Discovery” series launching this fall on the network and $5.99 subscription streaming service CBS All Access.
CBS said the series, which follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, has been expanded to 15 episodes from 13 episodes previously announced.
"Star Trek" returns to television 50 years after the franchise first premiered, featuring a new ship, new characters and new missions, while embracing the franchise's ideology about a hopeful future.
The new series will star Sonequa Martin-Green ("The Walking Dead") as a starship commander, while Michelle Yeoh appears as her captain in the trailer.
"Star Trek: Discovery" will premiere on the CBS Television Network with all subsequent episodes available on All Access, and will be distributed concurrently by CBS Studios International on Netflix in 188 countries and in Canada on Bell Media’s Space channel and OTT service CraveTV.
