In the post-Thanksgiving sales rush, Warner's Wonder Woman returned to the top spot on the NPD VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart the week ended Nov. 25.
Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Homecoming was a close No. 2 on both charts, selling 92% as many copies as Wonder Woman.
Disney's Cars 3, the top seller the previous two weeks, dropped to No. 3 on both charts.
Rounding out the top five sellers overall were DreamWorks' Trolls, distributed by 20th Century Fox, at No. 4, and Warner's The Lego Batman Movie jumping up to No. 5.
On the Blu-ray Disc sales chart, Lego Batman Movie was No. 4 and Fox's War for the Planet of the Apes was No. 5.
Among the week's new releases that were swamped by the holiday sales, Lionsgate's The Hitman's Bodyguard was No. 24 overall and No. 18 on the Blu-ray chart. The only other new release to debut in the top 50 was another Lionsgate title, the sci-fi adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which came in at No. 31 overall and No. 22 on the Blu-ray chart.
On Home Media Magazine's rental chart for the week ended Nov. 26, Hitman's Bodyguard and Valerian debuted at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.
Rounding out the top five, the previous week's top rental, Universal's Girls Trip, dropped to No. 3, with Sony Pictures' The Dark Tower at No. 4 and Universal's The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature entering the chart at No. 5 after being held back a week at Redbox rental kiosks.
