Sony’s Matt Brown to Retire in Continued Sony Restructuring15 Mar, 2014 By: Stephanie Prange
Restructuring continues at Sony Pictures. Home entertainment executive Matt Brown is retiring, with more exits expected.
"Matt Brown, EVP, worldwide commercial, for Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, has announced his retirement effective March 31," a Sony statement read. "During his tenure at SPHE, Matt was a key member of the management team, which helped to ensure the division's leadership position in the home entertainment industry. SPHE wishes to express gratitude for his contributions."
In January, Man Jit Singh, who was previously CEO of Multi Screen Media (MSM), the operating company that manages Sony Pictures Television’s TV networks in India, was named president of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. In December, the studio announced that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment president David Bishop was stepping down from the position he’d held since 2006.
Like Brown, Bishop is expected to leave the company this month.
