Lionsgate Adds Motion Picture Executives

9 Jun, 2015 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Lionsgate June 9 announced it appointed veteran executive Mike Paseornek to the newly created position of president of production for the motion picture group, overseeing production of films across the mini-major’s labels.

Producer Bobby Cohen (Now You See Me, Revolutionary Road, Memoirs of a Geisha, Cider House Rules) and production executive Gillian Bohrer (the "Twilight" and "Divergent" franchises) were named co-presidents of production to the motion picture group.

Geoff Shaevitz remains president of production for Summit Entertainment, and director of development James Myers was promoted to VP of production, reporting to Shaevitz.

Cohen, Shaevitz, Paseornek and Bohrer all report directly to Erik Feig, co-president of the motion picture group.

"[Gillian] and Bobby are immensely qualified to lead our Lionsgate production team, and Mike Paseornek is highly experienced in executing our vision and bringing major properties to the screen with trademark Lionsgate efficiency,” Feig said in a statement. “With Shaevitz's continued expert leadership of our Summit production operations and the promotion of Myers, we're very well positioned to move forward with balanced and robust film slates from both of our major labels.”
