Dish Names New CFO
3 Sep, 2014 By: Erik GruenwedelDish Network Sept. 3 named Steven Swain as CFO, effective Oct. 1, succeeding Robert Olson, who is retiring Oct. 15.
Swain, age 47, has been SVP of programming since April 2014, overseeing the acquisition and renewal of all programming content for the satellite operator, including national network and cable channels, Latino content, local broadcast stations and premium services such as HBO, Showtime and Starz.
Swain joined Dish in 2011 as VP of corporate financial planning and analysis. Prior to Dish, Swain spent more than 15 years working in the telecommunications sector, most recently at CenturyLink, formerly Qwest Communications.
He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from the University of Chicago.
