Dish Network Loses 10,000 Subs

During the second quarter of 2012 Dish Network lost approximately 10,000 net subscribers, the company reported July 19, widely beating analyst estimates that had predicted the number would be much higher.
Dish currently has a little more than 14 million subscribers.
Dish is currently targeting DirecTV, aiming to get some of that company’s 20 million subscribers, due to a carriage fee dispute between Viacom. Viacom channels have been off DirecTV since July 10. However, Dish is also suffering through its own dispute with AMC, which has been off Dish since the start of July.
