Hulu Plus Comes to Xbox Live
28 Apr, 2011 By: Chris Tribbey
Starting April 29 Xbox 360 Live subscribers will have access to Hulu Plus, the $7.99-per-month service offering instant access to content from ABC, Fox, NBC, Comedy Central and more.
From April 29 to May 6 all Xbox Live members — even those without a Hulu Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership — will be able to access the service for free. Microsoft also is running a sweepstakes for those Xbox owners who download Hulu Plus to their Xbox 360.
The news comes as Sony Computer Entertainment deals with a weeklong, hacker-related shutdown of its PlayStation Network service, the online PlayStation 3 rival to Xbox Live. Hulu already has notified Hulu Plus subscribers using PlayStation 3 that it will credit them $2 for the inconvenience.
“We’re proud deliver the best in entertainment content like no other device in the living room,” said Pete Thompson, GM of Xbox Live. “Hulu Plus is an important addition to support our continued effort to expand entertainment on Xbox Live.”
