PlayStation 3 to Offer Hulu Plus

As expected, Hulu’s new pay subscription service has arrived for Sony’s PlayStation 3.

Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed it will offer Hulu Plus to the PS3 in the coming months, with previews beginning today via a special download from the PlayStation Plus platform.

The upstart $9.99 monthly subscription program featuring high-definition content was recently launched by Hulu, which is co-owned by The Walt Disney Co., NBC Universal and News Corp.

Sony had been in talks to become the first gaming platform to incorporate Hulu’s library of repurposed TV content to supplement Netflix movie streams already offered via a separate subscription.

The PlayStation Store also features more than 23,000 movies and TV programs for download.
