Best Buy's 'Dark Knight Rises' Display

Dec. 4 saw the release of two titles that drew considerable attention at retail: Warner’s The Dark Knight Rises and Disney’s Blu-ray of Finding Nemo.

Best Buy offered an exclusive 35-minute documentary called The Dark Knight Reborn, featuring footage from the entire trilogy. The bonus content came with Best Buy’s BD combo pack steelbook of The Dark Knight Rises and marked copies of The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Walmart offered an exclusive two-disc DVD special edition of The Dark Knight Rises, containing the bonus content and the Batmobile documentary available only on the Blu-ray everywhere else.

Adding to the mix at Best Buy was a $5 discount on Mattel Dark Knight Rises merchandise with purchase of the movie.

Target offered an exclusive digibook edition of The Dark Knight Rises Blu-ray combo pack, featuring booklet packaging.

For Finding Nemo, Target offered an $8 discount when purchased with another eligible Disney Blu-ray.

Best Buy touted a $5 coupon for the 3D Finding Nemo at . Also, Best Buy offered exclusive Nemo or Squirt plush dolls at $4.99 each with the purchase of the Blu-ray or Nintendo DS/3DS game.
