AT&T U-verse Comes to Xbox 360

11 Oct, 2010 By: Chris Tribbey

Starting Oct. 15 subscribers to AT&T’s Internet TV service U-verse will be able to access the service on Microsoft’s Xbox 360, and before the end of the year, on mobile devices using Windows 7.

Current subscribers can access the U-verse service via an Xbox download. New subscribers to U-verse can order a $99 Xbox kit that will load the software, which allows for live TV, management and playback of DVR recordings, and access to interactive applications and on-demand content.

“Now you can get our award-winning U-verse services on your big screen TV, online, on your mobile phone, and integrated with your Xbox 360,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer for AT&T mobility and consumer markets. “Our IPTV strategy is putting AT&T at the forefront by delivering U-verse content where you want it. And now we’re extending the U-verse experience to more AT&T smartphone customers with the upcoming launch of U-verse Mobile on Windows Phone 7 devices.”

In November U-verse will be preloaded on Windows 7 mobile devices from AT&T. U-verse customers will have access to live TV on the go for free, while non-subscribers can access content for $9.99 a month.
