Each of these boxed sets includes five complete cards from the Royal Rumble, one of the WWE's four major annual pay-per-view events. These were previously released as part of a larger boxed set in March, but these smaller sets should make it easier for collectors to pick and choose their favorites. The first two volumes include the first 10 Rumbles, spanning 1988 to 1997.
The Rumble format — a 30-man battle royal in which a new competitor enters the ring every couple of minutes — makes for an addictive and entertaining match, but the quality begins to decline after the early 1990s, once the focus of the cards became less about the Rumble itself. The best Rumble is probably the 1992 edition, in which the legendary Ric Flair lasted an hour to win the championship belt.
