Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has named Jim Wuthrich president of the Americas, replacing Mark Horak, who is leaving the studio in early 2014 when his contract expires.

Wuthrich, who reports to Ron Sanders, president of Warner Bros. Worldwide Home Entertainment Distribution, in Los Angeles, had been president of international since 2009. He helped Warner open digital distribution channels in China.

In his new position, Wuthrich will be responsible for the distribution of packaged media, digital and video games. The international position is being eliminated, according to Sanders, who reportedly disclosed the change in an internal memo last month.
