Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Dec. 6 will release the Mad Max High Octane Collection on DVD and Blu-ray, including all four films in director George Miller’s franchise.
In addition to 1979’s Mad Max, 1981’s Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road, the collection will include the new “Black & Chrome” Edition of Fury Road, presenting the Oscar-winning film in black and white with an introduction by Miller.
Other extras include a new “Road War” documentary, in which Miller, co-writer Terry Hayes and star Mel Gibson relate the legacy of The Road Warrior; and the previously released 1979 documentary Madness of Max, about the making of the first film.
The Blu-ray collection will also include a 4K Ultra HD version and an UltraViolet digital copy of Fury Road.
The Mad Max: Fury Road “Black & Chrome Edition” will also be available as a separate Blu-ray in a two-film collection including the theatrical version.
