'American Sniper' on Digital HD April 21, Disc May 19

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is using the home video release of American Sniper to help America's troops.
The Oscar winning film arrives on Digital HD April 21, with a disc release May 19 as a two-DVD special edition ($28.98) and Blu-ray combo pack with UltraViolet ($44.95).
Warner will donate a dollar of each purchase — up to $1 million — from April 21 through the end of the year to the Wounded Warrior Project. The donation is void in Alabama, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts and South Carolina.
The Wounded Warrior Project raises awareness and enlists the public’s aid for providing for the needs of injured service members.
Directed by Clint Eastwood, American Sniper stars Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, the real-life Navy SEAL sniper who wrote the best-selling book upon which the film is based.
The movie was the top-grossing film released in 2014 domestically, earning more than $347 million in U.S. ticket sales, and has grossed about $541 million worldwide. The film won the Oscar for Best Sound Editing at the 87th Academy Awards, amind a slew of nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Cooper.
Disc extras include a making-of featurette and the documentary "One Soldier’s Story: The Journey of American Sniper," which chronicles Eastwood's efforts to bring Kyle's story to the big screen.
