Wuaki.tv App Added to 2014 Samsung, LG and Panasonic Smart TVs in U.K.

Wuaki.tv, the London-based transactional VOD service, April 25 said its app would again be included in 2014 smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Panasonic.

The app provides options for rental and electronic sellthrough of movies and TV shows, allowing users to search, rent and watch titles using their TV’s remote control.

Wuaki.tv’s content includes major Hollywood studios such as Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, in addition to U.K. distributors the BBC and ITV.

Movies and TV series are available to rent and purchase from £2.49.

Wuaki.tv is also available on the iPad, iPhones, Xbox One and 2013 LG, Samsung and Panasonic Smart TVs.

“Having already launched on Samsung, LG and Panasonic’s previous ranges of Smart TVs, we’re really excited to be a part of the latest 2014 range,” Jordi Miró, CTO of Wuaki.tv, said in a statement. “As more and more consumers are watching movies, TV and entertainment shows on-demand and online, Wuaki will continue to expand our range of supported devices so our content can be watched on any and all screens.”
