Viacom Content Blocked From GoogleTV

Content from Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV and other Viacom properties have been blocked from GoogleTV devices, Viacom said Nov. 22.
In a statement to PaidContent.org, Viacom said: “We’re blocking access to our full episode content from Google TV’s Web browser. We continue to evaluate Google TV to identify opportunities where it may make sense to optimize our Web content for the platform.”
Google did not have an immediate comment regarding Viacom’s decision. Viacom joins NBC, ABC, Fox and CBS in blocking GoogleTV access to their content.
