6 Jan, 2011 By: Erik Gruenwedel
Upstart transactional video-on-demand (VOD) movie service FlixFling Jan. 6 said it has inked a distribution deal with set-top box operator Roku.
Philadelphia-based FlixFling allows users to rent (from $1.99 for 72 hours) or buy (from $6.99) licensed studio movies and TV shows playable on an iPhone or Android-based device. The service allows users to “fling” content to compatible platforms, now including Roku, for playback on an HDTV.
