100-Plus MGM Films Hit Digital Outlets

More than 100 MGM films from the MGM and Warner Bros. libraries, including The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind, are being made available for the first time on numerous electronic delivery platforms, including Xbox Live, PlayStation Marketplace, Amazon VOD, iTunes and cable VOD.

Ben Hur, Singin’ in the Rain, An American in Paris, Moonstruck, 2001: A Space Odyssey, North by Northwest and Get Shorty are among the titles being made available across most VOD platforms starting Nov. 17.

“Today we catapult our historic film library into a new era,” said Joe Patrick, EVP of North American TV distribution for MGM. “For the first-time ever, movie lovers everywhere will have the opportunity to watch their favorite films when, where and how they want them. This collection represents some of the best movies ever made, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to the public.”

Marking the 85th anniversary of MGM, the films will be listed before launch at .
