The demonic little doll responsible for many a nightmare makes his return in Curse of Chucky, the sixth installment of the “Child’s Play” franchise, out on disc Oct. 8 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
The chilling film will also be released digitally Sept. 24.
“It has been a quarter of a century since fans were first petrified by Toyland’s most lethal serial killer in Child’s Play,” said Glenn Ross, GM and EVP of Universal 1440 Entertainment. “Now, 25 years later, the deadly legacy continues as Chucky resumes his disturbing reign of terror, delivering more of the bloodcurdling scares and bone-chilling twists that have cemented his place as one of the world’s most legendary horror film icons.”
Brad Dourif once again provides the voice of Chucky, and the film also stars Fiona Dourif (The Master), A Martinez (“Longmire”), Danielle Bisutti (Get Smart) and Brennan Elliott (“Flight 93”).
The Curse of Chucky Blu-ray includes exclusive storyboard comparisons and featurettes “Living Doll: Bringing Chucky to Life” and “Voodoo Doll: The Chucky Legacy.” Deleted scenes, a gag reel, commentary and making-of featurette also are included.
Chucky: The Complete Collection Limited Edition also will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on Oct. 8, featuring Child’s Play, Child’s Play 2, Child’s Play 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky and Curse of Chucky.
