Israeli company AnyClip has signed an agreement with Universal Studios that will see Universal Pictures’ library of film content available on .

Universal is the first studio to sign a licensing deal with AnyClip.com, which offers consumers the ability to access any clip from a film, searchable by actor, scene details, quotes, objects and more.

“AnyClip’s unique ability to tag, provide custom keywords and allow searches within a full feature film is an extremely valuable asset,” said Sam Nouri, senior manager of media licensing for Universal Partnerships and Licensing. “An authorized and licensed searchable database of movie moments has never existed before. The AnyClip platform creates a fundamental shift in the way we can promote, enhance and revitalize our catalog of content.”

AnyClip also allows the clips to be used by third-party sites.

“This licensing agreement with Universal leads the way in changing how businesses and consumers will interact with film content,” said Oren Nauman, CEO of AnyClip. “We allow viewers to access any moment of a film at any time and to share it with anyone. Our goal is to provide a new promotional service for our studio partners.”
