Warner Home Video has slated Plastic Man: The Complete Collection for Sept. 1 (prebook July 28) as a four-DVD set at $44.98.
The set collects all 35 episodes of “The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show,” an animated series starring the famed DC Comics superhero with the power to stretch himself into a multitude of shapes. The show first aired in 1979 Saturday mornings on ABC, right after “Super Friends,” and featured Plastic Man, his girlfriend, Penny, and his Polynesian sidekick, Hula Hula, traveling the world to fight evil.
“Plastic Man’s unusual powers and abilities, coupled with his great sense of humor, have resulted in his becoming one of the most unforgettable characters from the golden age of comics,” said Amit Desai, WHV VP of family, animation and sports marketing. “We think cartoon lovers and comic book buffs will be really excited about this DVD.”
