Man Jit Singh, president
Singh oversees all aspects of the worldwide home entertainment division, including sales, marketing and operations. Singh has a strong background in technology, entertainment and consumer products, with more than 20 years of experience in global operations, working in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. He was the chief executive of Talent Tree Staffing, and was the founder and chief executive of Internet start-ups such as Futurestep.com and Compete Inc. Under Singh, SPHE has continued to aggressively pursue growth opportunities around the world, as well as launching a new 4K digital service, ULTRA, and next-generation added-value content such as virtual reality apps.
Lexine Wong, senior EVP, worldwide marketing
Wong leads the global marketing strategy for SPHE’s digital and physical distribution businesses across all SPHE film and television properties, including film acquisitions and new technologies. Additionally, she oversees strategic direction for all of SPHE’s brand and shopper marketing functions, including media, digital and social, publicity, creative, content programming, production of added-value content, and marketing operations. Wong’s group helps keep SPHE at the forefront of new entertainment innovations by launching new products such as virtual reality and digital extras. With a focus on maximizing the digital entertainment experience, she plays a critical role in formulating marketing direction for SPHE’s digital products, including digital ownership, early EST, VOD, UltraViolet, and SPHE’s new 4K streaming service, ULTRA.
Jason Spivak, EVP, worldwide digital distribution and North American sales
Spivak manages SPHE’s global digital distribution and North American commercial teams. He oversees worldwide distribution of the company’s film and television properties across all transactional digital channels, as well as its overall North American business, spanning both digital and physical channels. Spivak also oversees SPHE’s digital strategy group, driving efforts to explore emerging distribution models, such as SPHE’s recently launched 4K streaming service, ULTRA.
Richard Berger, SVP, worldwide digital strategy and advanced platforms
Berger leads SPHE’s digital license negotiations with cable, satellite, telecom and digital retailers with a focus on next-generation models and formats such as UltraViolet and 4K with HDR. He spearheads growth and innovation initiatives in the home entertainment division by designing new consumer usage models, enabling enhanced playback experiences, and developing strategies that leverage new technologies such as 4K with HDR and virtual reality. Berger is leading a multi-studio initiative to standardize digital extras, allowing digital retailers to deliver studio-created interactive experiences to consumers across platforms. He also oversees SPHE’s digital supply chain services and the studio’s direct-to-consumer platform, and recently oversaw the launch of SPHE’s 4K digital streaming service, ULTRA.
Tracey Garvin, SVP, marketing
Garvin is responsible for the oversight, development and production of special features, virtual reality and interactive content, as well as technical services for all worldwide home entertainment releases at Sony Pictures including new releases from Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Classics, Sony Pictures Television and third-party acquisitions. Her team was instrumental in home entertainment innovations such as digital extras and SPHE’s virtual reality mobile apps for The Walk and Goosebumps.
Ed Han, SVP, digital distribution and digital sales marketing operations
Han oversees U.S. digital distribution for the studio’s feature film and television content for SPHE and manages all digital transactional efforts through cable, satellite and Internet-based EST and VOD platforms. He has been with the studio for more than 10 years, previously in corporate development and SPHE business development.
Jake Winett, VP, consumer services and advance platforms
Winett has more than 20 years of experience working with start-ups, Fortune 100 companies, and top producers and directors, helping to transform how entertainment is created and distributed in the digital age. At SPHE, he helped develop and launch innovative digital consumer products and services such the studio’s new 4K streaming service, ULTRA, which launched in April on Sony’s 4K televisions.
Ellen Goodridge, VP, digital client services and product development
Goodridge oversees the digital supply chain for transactional digital content (EST and VOD) from on-boarding, deal intake, through avails and delivery. She also oversees key initiatives to enhance the core digital product through adopting new usage models, such as UltraViolet; new features, such as iTunes Extras, Cross-Platform Extras and other interactive features; and other new models aimed at creating immersive digital experiences, such as virtual reality. In her tenure at Sony, Goodridge has pioneered development of innovative products and processes driving digital distribution across all digital consumption models, including ad-supported services and bundles.
Joseph Burg, director, content development
Burg is responsible for leading the creative strategy and production of special features content, as well as creative direction for user experiences across SPHE products. He also works on creative development of SPHE’s key initiatives, including Cross Platform Extras, 4K Ultra HD and virtual reality. At SPHE, he has produced video featurettes and developed multiple movie apps, including the award-winning Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 Foodimal Funimal app.
