MGM Renews Home Entertainment Distribution Agreement With Fox

MGM June 27 announced it had renewed its worldwide home entertainment agreement with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment through June 2020. Fox will continue to handle marketing and distribution services for MGM movies and TV shows on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as manage the operations and marketing of Digital HD and transactional VOD for MGM’s library, which includes the “James Bond” and “Rocky” franchises and the TV show “Vikings,” among others.

“The Fox Home Entertainment team has delivered strong results for MGM and we look forward to more success together in the future,” said Gary Barber, chairman and CEO of MGM. 

“Our partnership with MGM has been a tremendous success over the past 17 years,” said Mike Dunn, worldwide president of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. “It is a privilege to continue to steward their prestigious library of commercially and critically acclaimed films.”
The Fox/MGM home entertainment partnership dates back to 1999.
